All students, faculty and staff at the university are required to obtain an ID card. Your Yale ID identifies you as a current member of the Yale community and should always be carried with you while you are on campus. Yale ID cards are used to control access to residential colleges, dining halls, libraries, recreational facilities, offices, and other university buildings and services.
