The Public Safety ID Center is responsible for issuing and administering Yale University ID Cards, as well as managing the campus building access control system.
There are two ID Card Centers to meet your needs, one located on central campus and the other located at the medical school.
All students, faculty and staff at the university are required to obtain an ID card. The ID card identifies you as a current member of the Yale community and should be carried with you at all times while you are on campus. The ID card controls access to residential colleges, dining halls, libraries, recreational facilities, and other university buildings and services.
The ID Center offers additional services for the Yale community including fingerprinting, passport photos, notary service, and issues cards to vistors, contractors, and vendors who need access to university buildings.
